This set was designed with at-home beginner/intermediate cookiers in mind, so it uses just 4 colors  and just ONE consistency. Fewer colors and consistencies means less prep time. Now that’s my kind of beginner class!

This was the second ever online class I offered in 2022, and it’s just as cute as ever!

Dog Sugar Cookies

What makes these Dog Sugar Cookies so special?

This Beginner Dog set was entirely inspired by my parents’ precious puppy Archie. He is an English Springer Spaniel, which is the same kind of dog I grew up with.

We’re keeping it simple with all  of the most iconic imagery for a dog, plus some added texture with the bear technique and sanding sugar.

Now the dog’s eyes use a special type of sprinkle that will not bleed, but I do give alternative options in the workbook if you’d rather not buy the special sprinkles.

I know, I know, not everyone loves dogs! And not everyone loves that 💩 cookie, but I sure do 😉

The best parts of this class?

First… Just ONE consistency! Say yes to less time spent prepping!!

Second… A limited color palette! Again, LESS TIME SPENT PREPPING and less money spent on supplies!!

Third… The 💩 cookie. Obviously 😉

Fourth… You can totally skip the sanding sugar if you’re rather not buy it! It does as a nice pizzazz, but it’s not necessary.

Royal icing skills covered in this class:

  • One consistency outline and flood
  • Working with tipless bags
  • Piping and flooding with a thick flood
  • Different wet on wet technique applications
  • Bear texture technique
  • Working with sprinkles
  • Flooding in sections
  • Tips for avoiding craters
  • Cutouts

You will learn how to decorate (from start to finish) SIX Dog Sugar Cookies

Free Resources for this Set

For every class set, I still produce my usual YouTube videos. One is a sped-up compilation of the full set (at a more reasonable pace than the fast video above) and the second is a tutorial. This tutorial video is *not* at all like the class video.

The free YouTube tutorial video (below) shows each cookie in real-time with a voiceover, however, it is much shorter than the class videos and does not include any additional resources (classes include a 60+ page workbook).

I deliver my class videos as if I was teaching a live class, so a 20 minute YouTube tutorial can easily be a 2 hour class video. Either way, I like to provide different levels of information with different levels of investment. Choose the path that best suits you!
