This class is considered beginner OR advanced beginner because while the designs are simple, there is still a lot that can be learned from the techniques and execution! This set is all about the color palette, textures and getting that consistency just right for the application. The sweater technique is such a versatile technique to learn as well.

What makes these Pumpkin Spice Latte Cookies so special?

Now I know that pumpkin spice lattes are a bit of a controversial subject, but I think we can all agree that pumpkin spice latte DECORATED cookies are where it’s at! This is the PERFECT fall set to try out working with more than one consistency (in fact, there are three in this set!) since there are only 3 cookies in this set.

You’ll learn how to make a classic “sweater pumpkin”. Yes, sweater pumpkins are quite the thing in the cookie world! We’re rocking both a one AND two consistency outline and floods, plus medium peak piping consistency for the sweater technique and the pumpkin stems.

Now don’t be fooled: these might look like pumpkin spice heaven, but they’re still using my classic vanilla bean sugar cookie recipe paired with my lemon royal icing 😉

Royal icing skills covered in this class:

  • One AND two consistency outline and flood
  • Working with tipless bags (and cutting tipless bags)
  • Working with sprinkles
  • Flooding in sections
  • Sweater piping technique
  • Wet on wet
  • Basic pressure piping (stems)

You will learn how to decorate (from start to finish) THREE Pumpkin Spice Latte Cookies

Free Resources for this Set

For every class set, I still produce my usual YouTube videos. One is a sped-up compilation of the full set (at a more reasonable pace than the fast video above) and the second is a tutorial. This tutorial video is *not* at all like the class video.

The free YouTube tutorial video (below) shows each cookie in real-time with a voiceover, however, it is much shorter than the class videos and does not include any additional resources (classes include a 60+ page workbook).

I deliver my class videos as if I was teaching a live class, so a 20 minute YouTube tutorial can easily be a 2 hour class video. Either way, I like to provide different levels of information with different levels of investment. Choose the path that best suits you!
