Under the Sea Cookies decorated with royal icing

All designs are made with a circle, which means less money spent on supplies! We have so much fun with textures (including the white crackle on cookies) and wet on wet, all with just using royal icing!

Under the Sea Cookies

What makes these Under the Sea Cookies so special?

A couple of these designs were originally included in a general beach theme set of designs, that is until I realized they needed their own dedicated class!

And thus was born: Under the Sea!

I paired animals with shells with fanficul creatures as well. A good variety of all things under the sea.

The best parts of this class?

First… ONE shape!! And it’s a circle! Which means you can even use a water glass instead of a cookie cutter 😉

Second… Lots of fun with dimension and texture (plus that fun white crackle technique!).

Third… A fun and funky color palette.

Royal icing skills covered in this class:

  • Two consistency outline and flood
  • Working with tipless bags (and cutting tipless bags)
  • White crackle on cookie
  • Wet on wet technique
  • Crackle technique
  • Detail piping with a piping consistency
  • Pressure piping
  • Scraping
  • Working with piping tips

You will learn how to decorate (from start to finish) EIGHT Under the Sea Cookies

Sand Dollar Cookie

I chose not to put the sand dollar on the crackle background because I liked the contrast better naked. Almost gives sand vibes?

Free Resources for this Set

For every class set, I still produce my usual YouTube videos. One is a sped-up compilation of the full set (at a more reasonable pace than the fast video above) and the second is a tutorial. This tutorial video is *not* at all like the class video.

The free YouTube tutorial video (below) shows each cookie in real-time with a voiceover, however, it is much shorter than the class videos and does not include any additional resources (classes include a 60+ page workbook).

I deliver my class videos as if I was teaching a live class, so a 20 minute YouTube tutorial can easily be a 2 hour class video. Either way, I like to provide different levels of information with different levels of investment. Choose the path that best suits you!
