What makes these Candy Cane Decorated Cookies ~ 10 Adorable Christmas Cookies so special?

Can you believe I almost didn’t make this candy cane set a class? I had originally just planned to make this a set only for content.

I know, how selfish of me.

It still amazes me that these days whenever I posted a new just for content, I get tons of questions asking if this is a class as well. Because there was once a time when I was just starting making classes and they were few and far between.

Genuinely, though, it warms my heart and soul that y’all love my classes so much that you want EVERYTHING class-ified! Well, I couldn’t resist with this one! 10 different candy canes all with ONE cookie cutter!

At an advanced beginner/intermediate level, this set is all about wet on wet, line work and preventing craters. It proves just how much variety you can achieve with just 3 colors! And, I also couldn’t resist putting the new “candy cane” technique on not one but TWO designs!

Royal icing skills covered in this class:

  • Two consistency outline and flood
  • Working with tipless bags (and cutting tipless bags)
  • Working with sprinkles
  • Wet on wet technique
  • Flooding in sections
  • Linework with a piping consistency
  • Wet on wet candy cane technique

You will learn how to decorate (from start to finish) TEN Candy Cane Decorated Cookies

“Merry” Candy Cane Cookie

I definitely can’t take credit for this fun squiggly merry design, but I do think the addition of the red lights was a nice touch!

“Classic Wet on Wet” Candy Cane Cookie

This wet on wet line/pull design/technique is one of the very first ones that I learned, and one of the basics I think every cookier should know how to do!

“Green Stripes” Candy Cane Cookie

Free Resources for this Set

For every class set, I still produce my usual YouTube videos. One is a sped-up compilation of the full set (at a more reasonable pace than the fast video above) and the second is a tutorial. This tutorial video is *not* at all like the class video.

The free YouTube tutorial video (below) shows each cookie in real-time with a voiceover, however, it is much shorter than the class videos and does not include any additional resources (classes include a 60+ page workbook).

I deliver my class videos as if I was teaching a live class, so a 20 minute YouTube tutorial can easily be a 2 hour class video. Either way, I like to provide different levels of information with different levels of investment. Choose the path that best suits you!
