These designs really bring it to the intermediate level: we’re talking edible gold luster dust, brush embroidery, crackle, sanding sugar, nonpareils and so much more!
The best part? You get to make 8 STUNNING designs all on one cutter! Now we love a good moment to save money AND we’re using just three colors. Again, who doesn’t want to save time prepping?!
FYI: if you’d rather skip the gold luster dust, that’s ok! The workbook and class video give guidance on how to modify the designs to omit the gold.
Fair warning: this set DOES require a lot of extras like luster dust (and everything you need that goes along with it), paintbrushes, two different kinds of sprinkles, a star piping tip, etc. Some things can be skipped (like the gold, sprinkles and piping tip). It will result in a different look, but certainly doable! The workbook provides guidance on what can be skipped (and what cannot).
Decorated Christmas Tree Cookies
What makes these Decorated Christmas Tree Cookies so special?
This is the first-ever class I’ve made completely inspired by a set of cookies I already made. The inspiration set also happens to be the first-ever shape series set I made back in December 2020.
I took the design elements and elegance of that original set and translated that into a more streamlined, approachable and accessible set of 8 different trees. I’ve streamlining the prep time and supplies needed by reducing it to just 3 colors and focusing the extra decoration elements to just gold and brush embroidery.
This class is advanced beginner/intermediate, and let me tell you we are BRINGING the intermediate with edible gold luster dust, brush embroidery, crackle, sanding sugar, nonpareils and so much more!
You’ll learn how to use the edible gold both dry and as a paint. How fun!
Just a heads up: this set DOES require a lot of extras like luster dust (and everything you need that goes along with it), paintbrushes, two different kinds of sprinkles, a star piping tip, etc. Some things can be skipped (like the gold, sprinkles and piping tip). It will result in a different look, but certainly doable! The workbook provides guidance on what can be skipped (and what cannot).
For example, it’s totally fine to skip the gold luster dust! The workbook and class video give guidance on how to modify the designs to omit the gold.

“Cutout” Christmas Tree Cookie
What could be better than a gold cutout AND crackle?!

“Nutcracker” Christmas Tree Cookie
The painted gold squiggle lines are giving nutcracker jacket vibes…are they not?!

“Brush Embroidery” Christmas Tree Cookie
Never done brush embroidery? No problem! This is a great first introduction.

“3 Sections” Christmas Tree Cookie
A lil twist on flooding in section + a lil brush embroidery = chef’s kiss!

“Star Tip” Christmas Tree Cookie
The simplest and fastest design in this set, but that star tip gives it so much pizzazz! I rarely use a piping tip unless it’s absolutely worth it. This is worth it!!

“Realistic” Christmas Tree Cookie
It’s not that often I do a super realistic design, and this one couldn’t be more precious with the sanding sugar on the snow 🙂

“Marbled” Christmas Tree Cookie
We’re classing up this wet on wet marbled design by adding gold luster dust. Yes, that’s right!

“Painted” Christmas Tree Cookie
One of my favorite techniques for one shape series is to do a painted ombré. Never disappoints!

Free Resources for this Set
For every class set, I still produce my usual YouTube videos. One is a sped-up compilation of the full set (at a more reasonable pace than the fast video above) and the second is a tutorial. This tutorial video is *not* at all like the class video.
The free YouTube tutorial video (below) shows each cookie in real-time with a voiceover, however, it is much shorter than the class videos and does not include any additional resources (classes include a 60+ page workbook).
I deliver my class videos as if I was teaching a live class, so a 20 minute YouTube tutorial can easily be a 2 hour class video. Either way, I like to provide different levels of information with different levels of investment. Choose the path that best suits you!
